Exactly. That’s a new thing. Keep patriotism, a solemn and personal thing away from professional sports. If we must do this, let’s applaud our teachers and other people who make a difference in our lives too. I hope i don’t sound like I’m disrespecting the military here but too often I feel the military is used as a cynical political tool to divide people. Oh? You can’t care about refugees because of homeless vets. Bullshit, you can and should care about both.
