The only scenario where he is possibly in danger is if he brandished the gun at the kid while he was close to him— then he’d be in danger because the kid might have acted in self-defense.

From personal experience—it’s scary as shit to notice someone has a concealed gun even if it’s in an appropriate concealed-carry holster. Your first thought is not “it’s holstered, so they’re probably a CCL carrier”—your fight-or-flight instinct is suddenly completely fired up.

For me, it’s never come to anything, but no question when I see a concealed firearm in close quarters I’m suddenly hyper-aware and braced to react. Were a guy chasing me and I caught notice of him wearing a firearm….
