I have a friend who scores massively high on IQ tests, and I can beat him at any card game, board game, or, really, any other game. He can analyze problems, but he can’t form any sort of strategy based off of that analysis.

They’re such a limited measure. I hate all that kind of crap when it’s seriously used to determine people’s future.

The best comment I’ve seen on IQ test is that they clearly show how good you are.. at solving IQ tests.
Worse than the misunderstanding that a high IQ means you are objectively “intelligent” is the attempts to try to show racial differences on the grounds of IQ test performance. And indeed, such differences could be shown. They were especially high when no attempt was made to try to develop a comparable test for the local culture. Try solving a Rubik’s cube when you think the objective is to make patterns. :/
