To put things into perspective, all the grief going on right now is over a CR that will only fund the gov’t for 30 days. Not 3 months, not a year, 30 days. And yet the GOP are so desperate to avoid the backlash of a shutdown that they’re talking a 5 day extension as though it will magically unblock the log jam and governing will begin taking place.
