The Parkland kids did a great job of calling the NRA out intensely and repeatedly almost immediately following the shooting. They basically backed the NRA in to a corner and left no choice but to respond.

I wonder how many legit members they actually have? Something tells me it’s a hell of a lot less than 5 million.

In the past they would’ve responded through prepared anodyne press releases and kept their people in defilade. They learned, for awhile at least, after letting Michael Moore interview old addled Charlton Heston. They got off easy then because Heston was sick and therefore somewhat sympathetic and Moore tended to come off somewhat as an ass. They didn’t let their people walk unprepared into an ambush like that again until Dana thought publicly arguing on national television with a bunch of teenage mass shooting survivors was a good idea.

It was not a good idea.
