No, but it means they will be so full of holes that nothing truly effective would pass. (Not that we even have a consensus on what would work.) The next school/theatre/mall/church shooting will proceed on it’s culturally-imposed schedule.

It’s still too early to tell, at least from where I’m sitting. One thing we can be sure of is that the NRA will fight any proposals from Biden’s taskforce tooth and nail, and with the poll numbers like presented, will only make themselves look ridiculous for fighting against items that most people think are common sense. Especially if the folks making the “pro-gun” case are absolutely bonkers and meet every suggestion with conspiracy theories about imaginary Hitler.
