My guess and this from an outsider looks in perspective (boring old white straight male) is she doesn’t want people to forget that transpeople still do struggle and I think it’s a legitimate concern. And I will say after reading an article about bisexuals on Cracked yesterday, they too get lost in the confusion and sadly face intolerance from both straight and gay people.

Hey, I’m a middle-aged straight white dude, so this is all out of my zip code as well. I just find it baffling that she can’t let people celebrate a moment of victory. I’m hoping she finds some happiness for others, so that when her victory comes, we’ll be there to celebrate with her. (not sure if that makes sense. I’m rambling this a.m.)
