stupidity….they have not been paying attention..Kiplinger has railed on this very topic for 40 yrs…it’s the perfect storm because voters are dumbed down to the point where the MSM makes their choices for them….it’s a fucking disaster that has been waiting to happen….it just blew Bush/Paulson away…

It’s as if everyone was swimming in the deep end with a kickboard, and suddenly the kickboards disappeared.

Everyone on Washington is in over their heads and do not have the courage to do what needs to be done. Let it work itself out. Of course, then the sheeple might (doubtful) begin to realize that politicians don’t actually do/add anything of value…so better to look like you are doing something, even if it is the wrong thing, to protect your phoney-baloney job (thank you Mel Brooks!).

That’s why this mess will last a long, long time.
