It probably won’t be a straight party ticket for me. I actually do my homework on candidates before voting for them, and there’s one race where, believe it or not, I could not find any information on either of the candidates. Their websites were both broken (how does that even happen?!), and for some reason, I have had a hell of a time finding position statements on any of the voter information aggregate sites. So I will likely not be voting for that particular office.

I have to pore over the judicial candidates looking for right-wing buzzwords. I hate “non-partisan” races.

I voted for a couple who won’t win, but they said really good things in their blurbs. Their opponents are fine—recommended by all the right people, but if they get enough votes, maybe the conversation could shift a little.

We don’t get to vote for Seattle Port Commissioners any more. I know we’re not in Seattle, but we usedtocould (to use a Foxworthyism.)
