It is exactly what happened with Franken. Gillibrand stirred up a mob to force his resignation based upon nothing more than accusations. You can sit here and argue the “credibility” of those accusations all you like, but the fact remains that the man never had an opportunity to defend himself because doing so would be construed as an act of guilt.

You have forgotten the photograph. Even if, like a Republican, you accuse all eight of the women of lying, that photograph shows Franken really did engage in actions degrading to women.
