Hey there was a time before WW2 when there was no reserve currency. And that’s where we’re headed again.

There was a lot less international trade then. IMHO (not an economist) the chaos would be too great.

(The only candidates for replacement I can see are the EU and China. The former is none too stable (Italy) and China is not seen as an honest broker.)
