CNN has a story up this weekend about the origins of the name of Beyonce and Jay-Z baby, a name of ‘blue Ivy’. My older-model phone has to scroll up through the comments to get to the main article and some of them were pretty hideous:

Blue = caeruleus

Ivy = hedera

Neither word translates to devil or daughter.

One suspects bigotry is responsible for your remarks rather than ignorance of Latin.
