This morning, the DFW area set a record for the most amount of rain in a year since recording began. This included a summer where we almost set a record for consecutive days with out rain, and we still have a month to go. We’ve received more rain than Seattle.

Really?? Like, over the course of the year? Even with effectively no rain at all between June and October?

It’s all come down in super-rainy weekends too. May, June, and November have all featured 3-day non-stop rainstorms. The current watering actually destroyed my weekend plans to ride my bike to Arkansas and back. High temps in Ouachita National Forest were supposed to be 50 degrees with 1” of flooding rain today. Not fun motorcycling weather at all…
