Do not forget the Doctrine of Russia as the Third Rome: After the fall of Rome and Byzantium, Russia became the defender of the True Christian Faith.

And a Fourth Rome there shall not be.

Because all cool stuff comes in threes, right?

They kind of derailed that “defender of the faith” stuff during the reign of the Soviets, didn’t they?
