So, my question is this: How much teeth do these executive orders carry? Can the President really order something like this and enforce it?

Okay, here’s my guess as a law clerk. I imagine he can tell the immigration agencies to forbid any visas for people from the above mentioned countries. When Iranians for example go to get a visa to come to our country, they don’t go to Iran. They go Armenia typically or maybe Turkey. What’s really maddening as I got at in my number 2 though is the process for many of these applications have already begun.
