I looked it up, he really is relatively broke. Dude has compulsive spending issues, blew through something like $150 million buying 15 homes, a lear jet, a dinosaur skull, some albino cobras, a shark, an octopus, a crocodile, a private island and also got fined millions for not paying taxes.

The “not paying taxes” thing wasn’t him being a scofflaw. He thouheght he’d been paying them, and was 7 years behind by the time he found out (through being charged with tax evasion) that actually, his crooked business manager had been stealing the money instead of remitting it.
