I hate saying it but the longer the shutdown went on, the easier it would have been to pull the illegals against the troops bs. And it could have had some impact. I understand the frustration and I don’t blame anyone who voted no and I sure as hell don’t trust McConnell but I think we got some pressure on the bastard.

And, they don’t give a damn about the troops or veterans anyway. They just wrap themselves up in us and claim they care.

In a way they are constantly using us as a bargaining chip as well, while never delivering on the bargain.
