I’m sure they have (and so would I), but unfortunately, at this juncture, the Koreans probably don’t have much of a choice. Though I’m sure their inter-governmental communications are likely to contain some rather undiplomatic language…

My own pet theory is that Trump (desperate for any sort of positive accomplishment) is going to try to gin up some sort of impressive-sounding Big Fucking Deal Agreement with the North Koreans over their nuclear program. And what that is likely to entail IMO is basically a reversion to the original Clinton-Era policy: i.e. pay the Norks enormous bribes to put their A-bomb programs on hold.

And I think the South Koreans are getting the sinking feeling that THEY, not the US, are going to be expected to pay for it.
