No, but it is a living organism and to some people there is no distinction. A baby is a baby no matter how far along it is developmentally. Not saying *I* feel this way.

Their rush to declare that a fetus is a human being worth rights usually leads to them stripping said same rights from the woman carrying said fetus and demoting her to living incubator. So it usually isn’t about actual respect for life, but contempt for the woman’s life.
