What’s weird is that these assholes have to know that their ridiculous hardline stances are self defeating. Their client has put them in such a horrid goddamned position that they’re stuck making the most logically and intellectually offensive arguments possible. Any halfway decent professional would just quit before standing in front of an appeals court panel and spewing this putrid fuckshit.

In arguing that a sitting President can’t even be criminally investigated Trump’s lawyers are saying that cops can’t collect or preserve evidence, interview witnesses, forensically analyze crime scenes or write reports if he is the prime suspect.

It’s an abjectly absurd argument
