He’s not stupid. He knew it would look bad. He was counting on the support of the Trump-humper base to bail him out, because he’s been one of Trump’s most loyal supporters. It turns out, people DO NOT LIKE being left to fend for themselves in the libertarian wastelands while their so-called representatives go off to play in the sand at a luxury resort.

What he counted on was that nobody would call him on his BS. That if he were caught, he could just spin some shit about “escorting the girls on a trip” and “I intended to come right back, honest!”

What he didn’t bear in mind is he is such a shitheel that his “friends” would quickly sell his ass out the moment he started trying to use his kids as a shield.
