First of all, it’s Mr. Spock. Dr. Spock is a real person who has nothing to do with Star Trek (and no, the real Dr. Spocks name was NOT the basis for the fictional Vulcans name).

Furthermore, it is the Borg who say “Resistance is futile”, NOT Spock or any other Vulcan.
