I’m reading a bio of Rudolf Hess. Weird guy; he was a high ranked Nazi but went nuts, and fled to Britain in 1941.

The book’s forward is by Golo Mann - who is not a weird guy. He’s actually a hero. Mann joined the US Army in 1943 and helped Allied propaganda; in the 1970s, he continued to help the West Germany against communist infiltration into its student associations.

I’m guessing that it is not a Nazi apologetic if it is being presented by a class act like Mann. Can any of our German lizards shed more light on the provenance of this publication?
