I think you missed a big one. Both Trump and Cohen are clearly guilty of campaign finance laws. That’s the timing. Trump didn’t want the story coming out right before the election. (Of course, that’s also why Daniels shook him down.) So at the very least it’s an unreported contribution to Trump’s campaign.Which is what ruined John Edwards.

But we don’t know that, do we?

Wasn’t Rudy’s justification for his ramble that he wanted to show that the money did not come from the campaign, but from Trump personally?
