I used to listen to a “progressive” rock station in the early 70’s before it was taken over and formatted. One afternoon they were playing some long drawn out Black Sabbath song and the DJ got bored with it, so he flipped the turntable up to 45 rpm to finish the song. It was exactly what was needed.

Sounds interesting! Do you remember which song this was? I have enough knowledge of sample editing in Audacity to try this one out…
