Oh, it will be our inflation chart soon enough. :-(

It is unclear to me when inflation will bite again… certainly the groundwork is being laid for some serious inflation but the immediate problem is deflation, I think. Put simply, today it was reported that unemployment in California is at 9.3% (up sharply), the highest its been in 15 years, and everybody is saying it will go higher, perhaps exceeding the great recession of the early ‘80’s. With so many people out of work inflation is unlikely.
