Well Tsongas would have died in office likely. And despite the left’s hate for the Clintons and the “third way”, he would have been even more so but he was more socially liberal. Jerry Brown is an interesting what if. I dunno. Looking at it through hindsight and what I like, I would have liked Jerry or Tom Harkin. Harkin reminds me of Sherrod Brown now, a guy from a state considerably more conservative than he is, populist but not to the point of dismissing PoC, immigrants, women, etc.
