There are bad ideas that one allows, then there are bad ideas that you came up with and fought for. The mortgage meltdown was initiated by Barney Frank and the hard-left. Their idea was to disconnect access to credit from credit-worthiness, because it’s not fair that one bourgouis parasite can borrow at 5% while his proletariat workers pay more and borrow less. The banks went along with it, with vulgar enthusiasm, because the Gubment implicitly cosigned on all the bad loans thru Fannie and Freddie. Still, the first president ever to have an MBA should have caught that and pressured the Republican majority congress to do their damn jobs and stop it.
