re: #333 Stanley Sea
I’m watching the one “Neil DeGrasse Tyson - Greatest Sermon Ever”
[Video]Just at the beginning when he talks about his “calling”
I can so identify with his story. Mine started with such an inspiration when I was about 4 and when in my play with my dog, I put my head on his little chest and listened to his heart thumping, his breath going in and out, and his guts squishing and churning. I thought “hey! we’re the same! we’ve got all the same parts!” I went and told my mom about my amazing discovery and she told me I was wrong and that I would understand when I got older how humans and animals are not the same.
I knew I wasn’t wrong. Got a PhD and spent my career as a wildlife biologist to prove how wrong I wasn’t. Evolution is cool.
