Sort of. There’s a no-kill shelter in Philly that does adoptions. So I need to print out an application and then go down there on a weekend. Probably this one or next. Also taking advantage of the lull to sort out a few closets and take some cat-proofing measures under the assumption that new overlords will be more agile and inquisitive than the previous residents who were somewhat less spry due to age.

True, though of course the degree of desire to explore does also depend on the temperament of the individual cat.
