Speaking of spaghetti, my Mom (the meat and potatoes bred German-American) would make spaghetti and use tomato sauce from the can for the sauce. No flavoring, no nothing —straight tomato sauce.
Our big family treat (at christmas and easter) a package of ore-ida frozen hash browns baked en casserole with a jar of cheez-whiz, a jar of pimentos and a tub of sour cream.
