You know, I remember watching that and being shocked because Delaware really isn’t that right wing from what I know. When they nominated “Not a witch” over the guy who had a lifetime of accomplishment, you just knew it was the beginning of a continuing long trip downward.

Yeah, pretty moderate state. I went to college there. Castle and Carper traded Governorship/House Seats for most of the 90’s. It had one GOP Senator, the dude who came up with Roth IRAs. He’s dead. State’s pretty Democratic now.
