Honestly, with all due respect to the late Molly Ivins, I never liked the triple line for H.W. Bush because to H.W.’s credit, he was the Navy’s youngest fighter pilot in WWII, he did work his way up in politics, etc. It’s still a great line but there were others on the right who deserved it more IMO.

Somehow I don’t think that GHW Bush would have been president if he hadn’t been part of Ronald Reagan’s corrupt administration first.
