That is my thought exactly. If the wall was a serious priority other than a talking point for Trump, it would have gotten consideration early on. This is a temper tantrum after losing the midterms by Trump and the GOP.

That might be giving Trump too much credit here. He’s only acting like the petulant spoiled brat he’s always been, and it honestly doesn’t need reason.
