Ideological absolutism is going to result in us being back to where we started. And too many damn people whether they be Trumpists, Berners, or in the past Paulians don’t want to hear that. Ideological rigidness is going to get us nowhere and impede any progress that can be made. I think that’s what I hate when I see the Bernie left shit on Obama’s legacy. It’s like they have no appreciation for the fact that yeah Obama may not have gotten us universal and single payer but he helped get us in the right direction. I can’t get denied coverage anymore due to my heart condition. That should mean something but the presidency instead of being seen as a place of balance s sought out by either ideologues or smug unqualified assholes who think they can run a country despite little understanding of what the president does.
