I recall a cover version of “something stupid” making it back onto the charts around 2000

Rock and roll started in the 50s. Rock and roll continues today. There’s a big difference between the kinda of songs Sinatra sang than the decades of R&R, a genre that continues today.

There could be recharting of Sinatra sings if someone like Jason Mraz redid it, because it would be modernized (I listened to Anka’s Diana the other day and thought it was boring. Music can’t be boring.)

Both Christiana Agullaria (sic) and Lady Gaga worked with Tony Bennett and those songs charted.

It’s not the generation, it’s the songs. Either they’re enjoyed by this generation or they’re not.

Watch those YouTube First Time Ever Heard videos (I especially enjoyed the Bohemian Rhapsody videos). Great fun watching a new generation go HOLY SHIT THAT’S GREAT whick had nothing to do with boomers per se, but great music.
