Turkeys, like geese, are pretty damn mean when so inclined.

But trying to shoot a turkey with a pistol sounds like a recipe for disaster, particularly if it’s close enough to be attacking. That a job for bird shot, not a damn pistol

Just grab it by the neck and choke it.
