Most likely to what back in the DFH days was called the “Military-Industrial Complex”; of which a sizable portion of which has, I am sure, been earmarked for (properly stealth-cloaked) campaign contributions….
It’s amazing how little money it takes to buy a conservative politician (see Bondi, Pam).
For a business, it is a wildly-good investment to have a few conservatives in your pocket.
Buying off politicians is one of the definitions of rent-seeking capitalism.
