I disagree that conservatism is dead. Go see the link mediamatters.org and watch them try to spin the exit polling in 2008. Americans are center-right. You talk to them, and they stand on the right of free speech, gun control, abortion, gay marriage, and the panoply of issues that exist out there. Most of them do not mind evolution being taught, but want “equal time” for other concepts which may include “creationism”.
