The most recent three movies are effectively prequels

At what point do we move ahead in the story? Star Wars finally did it. Time for Trek to get on board.

I’ve been reading the novels. They move ahead. With a vengeance. I’d love to see another ST set after Nemesis, but books have a great deal going for them. (I don’t hate Discovery’s plot, although I hope they find a fatal flaw in the spore drive — turns out it’s a nonrenewable resource? — but I really don’t like it visually. )

Oh, and I hear they’re planning to work on the continuity problems in the next series of episodes.
