Yeah, but actually waiting for facts before starting in on speculation doesn’t get you either ratings points or pageviews. We’re kinda doing the same thing here, actually. It’s hard not to speculate (see: the comments on whether Bergdahl was pressured into drinking and then wandered off, dazed).

The kid did 5 years being starved & mistreated in Taliban hands. Now he’s red meat for the yammering base, who are trying to hang the deaths of any soldier who was KIA around the time he disappeared around his neck. I do hope the Army command staff steps in and smacks the GOP on the knuckles and tells them to STFU over this. That’s about the only thing that will get them to put their dogs back on the leash.
