Critics seemed to like it. It’s too bad Eastwood comes off as a bitter, old bigot in his interviews because he’s honestly a talented director. In fact, I think he’s a better director than actor. More versatile in the former. In his acting, Clint always comes off as to use a cliche playing himself. He’s not bad but he doesn’t have the range of someone who I really appreciate like Al Pacino who can beautifully play Michael Corleone going from a reluctant son in a criminal family to someone more ruthless than his own father.

Yeah I’m surprised at how good a director Eastwood is. Wouldn’t have imagined it given his acting roles, which were OK but didn’t typically offer much range.
