Critics seemed to like it. Itās too bad Eastwood comes off as a bitter, old bigot in his interviews because heās honestly a talented director. In fact, I think heās a better director than actor. More versatile in the former. In his acting, Clint always comes off as to use a cliche playing himself. Heās not bad but he doesnāt have the range of someone who I really appreciate like Al Pacino who can beautifully play Michael Corleone going from a reluctant son in a criminal family to someone more ruthless than his own father.
Yeah Iām surprised at how good a director Eastwood is. Wouldnāt have imagined it given his acting roles, which were OK but didnāt typically offer much range.
