Well, unfortunately for the nation, there IS a way Trump could turn that “bad press” around. With a normal President, one would imagine that someone - anyone - in his inner circle is finally going to blow: and try to drum it into the Chief’s head that being perceived as coddling or ignoring actual, violent, murderous Nazis here in the US is going to be bad - REALLY bad - for his general image.
And get him to do somethinh about by it going public and making a well-written, well-crafted address unequivocally condemning the Nazis and fascists, unequivocally standing up FOR everybody’s right to protest and AGAINST any form of hatred or violence, and -like a few of his GOP pals already have, state flatly that white-supremacist ideology has no place in the political dialog in this country. Period.
Of course, it ,would all be BS PR nonsense, but the lapdog media and the lickspittle Congress would go wild for it, we would be barraged with another tsunami of horseshit about “Trump turning Presidential”, it would drive a lot of the negative coverage right out of the news, and (most importantly) might boost his approval ratings.
But then, I’m not sure my fears might be realized: it’s Donald Trump…

The advantage is that if condemns the Walmart SS and their garden ornaments that will piss off his base. Even more importantly it will be obvious he was forced to do.
