Yes. Her wife died just over a year ago. She’s been at very loose ends ever since, unhappy and uncoupled. There was this woman she moved in with, and that didn’t go well, and now she’s apparently made a Facebook friend, and is preparing to move three thousand miles to be with her, once the situation with her father’s illness calms down.

This is better than when she wanted to die, but it’s sort of frightening.

I think there is an 18 month phenom. After a loss, relationships that occur with in 18 months tend not to last.

Grief sucks.
