SBUX has a very good reason not to want to put up signs banning guns at the entrance to all their stores, it suggests the presence of firearms and plants the idea in the mind of the customer. You walk in, see that sign and the first thing you think is, “Shit, they must have a real problem with gun crime here, why else would they feel the need to put up such a sign.” Suddenly the customer doesn’t feel safe anymore and business drops off.
