Since you are an Ohioan…are you familiar with a little town by the name of Shelby?
I had relatives from there. My one uncle was Archie Bunker before there was an Archie Bunker. I still do not know if there any African American in that little berg. Let’s just say they made it hard for AA people to reside there. I do not go back there…at all. And it is north of Columbus…’bout halfway.
I have, albeit briefly. Shelby was a lunch stop on the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure two years ago (I’ve participated in the past five GOBAs).
Basically anything south of the turnpike or west of State Route 4 (outside of actual cities) is lily white and could be easily annexed to Indiana or Kentucky.
And it’s a shame, because I love the countryside.
