He had a hip fracture that wasn’t fully healed. On the day he died, that fracture went to a full break. I can only imagine how much pain he was in, along with emphysema and other health issues.

I just do not get the uptick in prescribing fentanyl to people. It’s deadly, especially combined with other medications. It was supposed to be a component of general anesthesia, right? Then what on earth are people being sent home with a supply of it? Pain management is never easy, but damnit I hate seeing people die from this.
