Man, I can’t imagine. My brother as you know is an outdoorsy guy, I always worry a bit about him even if he is responsible. I worry about him now especially because he’s got a little girl that loves him very much.

Your brother is more likely to die on a highway than in the backcountry. Sad as these deaths are, they are quite rare. I just happen to live in a world where I know too many people who are gone now, both complete strangers and good friends. Too many people. People like Shane McConkey.
