Funnily enough, a lot of the Paulbots that scream to “End the Fed” want to nationalize the Fed, because their biggest gripe with it is not that it is a central bank on a federal level (which would be inevitable anyhow) but that it is private (it’s actually semi-private, but enh, details don’t matter much for ideologues). Many Paulbots want full government control of central banking. A lot of them might not realize this, though.

getting rid of the Fed was on one of the “lists of demands” of the OWC linked above someplace.
