True, though of course the degree of desire to explore does also depend on the temperament of the individual cat.

I’d expect any cat limited to a 2-bedroom apartment to eventually desire to worm into the one walk-in closet simply to see what is there. And one with any jumping ability will get over the initial wall of boxes that was keeping the previous denizens out. (Though when I initially moved in here the two siamese were all over that closet - some of my suit coats still have extra fur from where one of them found a nice hidey-hole to snooze in. 3’ off the floor on top of a few packing boxes to lie on an unused cushion with two suit coats on either side for additional warmth and security. Reached after running a maze of other boxes and items that were usually not that stable of a structure.)
